History
Boston Pizza was started as "Boston Pizza and Spaghetti House" in the year 1964 by Gus Agioritis, a Greek immigrant. The chain had reached to 17 restaurants in the year 1970, out of which 15 were franchised. One of the franchised owners named Jim Treliving, a Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer bought the rights to open a restaurant in Penticton, British Columbia. In the year 1983, he bought the chain that was at that time owned by Ron Coyle. Boston Pizza's corporate office is located in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada.
