History
Initially the founder opened a drapers store within London. In the year 1813, the name of the company was changed to Clark & Debenham, when William Debenham became the partner. The second store of the company was opened in the year 1818 in Cheltenham. In the year 1851, the name of the company was again changed to Debenham and Freebody as Clement Freebody became the new partner. Later it was in the year 1905 that the company was unified as Denhams Limited.
