What is Dot Abu Dhabi?
The full form of DOT is The Department Of Transport that was established in 2008 to cover the whole value chain and make sure fully coordinated planning in all features of transport policy and growth in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in cooperation with all appropriate local, regional and international stakeholders and partner. Dot Abu Dhabi provided a desirable transport facility that enhances the economic development, quality of life and environmental maintenance of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Man Lion's City and Man Lion's Regio Buses has been operated by Dot Abu Dhabi.
Objectives Of Dot Abu Dhabi
DoT is concentrated on combining four important objectives
1. Increasing transport facility and security in coordination with key stakeholders.
2. Deliver high quality and reliable transport facility to all parts within the Emirate.
3. Developing a desirable and well organized transport department that responds to the huge development of Abu Dhabi’s economy.
4. Developing a collaborative and result-oriented association to secure the set mission.
Road Service Patrol Of Dot Abu Dhabi
In September 2011, The Department of Transport in Abu Dhabi declared the official development of Road Services Patrol in coordination with Abu Dhabi Police. Patrols are also provided to help damaged buses and provide facilities such as identifying flat battery, changing tyres and topping up fuel and coolant if required and to enable buses to reach the nearest petrol station in the area.
