LG corporation is the result two Korean companies: Lak Hui and Gold Star as both company got merge. In the beginning, the company's household products were used to sell under the name Lucky, and on the other hand electronic goods were sold as Gold star. Lg Electronics was founded by In-Hwoi Koo, and today its business is spread all over the world. In 1995, the company got the name LG Electronics and took over the a US. based electronics company called Zenith. Today LG has become globally recognized brand producing variety of consumer electronics, and communication equipment, computers etc. LG Electronics has been running over 75 subsidiaries in many major countries around the world. The company's operations are supported through its division, some of its major divisions are Mobile Communications division, Air Conditioning and Energy Solution division, home appliances division etc. LG Electronics entered into the market of mobile phones as it established a division, known as Mobile Communications division. In initial period, the company launched mobile phones which are run on CDMA network and with the changing demand, the company shifted to produce 3D Smart phone, and some of popular models are LG D958, LG G Pro2 D838, LGG2 4GLTE, LG Optimus G etc. Apart from this, LG also produces computer LED, communication devices, mobile communication terminals etc. All the operations related to consumer electronics are handled by company's Home Appliances division, under which company produces washing machines, stoves, microwaves, computers, televisions, Dish washers, water purifiers, washer dryers etc. Apart from this, LG brings all types of air-conditioners used for residential and other commercial sectors, few of its air conditioner models are Multi AC, Split AC, Window AC, VRF, HRV etc. For air conditioner, the company has set up a separate division named as Air Conditioning & Energy Solutions division. To market its products, LG takes part in sponsorship as many sports are sponsored by the LG Electronics. The English football' club Weyside Rovers' was also sponsored by LG Electronics from 2000 to 2002.
