Aslamu alykom. My name is Ali Ahmed. I am making a humble request to please shed light and give me guidance regarding the talaaq I have issued to my wife I seek this guidance only to please Allah we do not want to do wrong On the 9th if June FRIDAY in Ramadan I was fasting. I came home and my wife and I started fighting. The argument got so bad and heated and out of control. At that time my wife told me I threw my fon down I was in severe anger even my mother in law tried to stop and I didn't even know I pushed her hands away so hard that I injured her unintentionally. My wife says that after that I mentioned the talaaq. I was in a total blur I did mention three talaaq in severe anger. Then my wife came back to me in the room and said the talaaq is not counted because I'm still in my MENSES. I went out of the room sat in the lounge and I cudnt recall anything at that time because I was still in anger. And I want to add that one year ago also had a argument with my wife I did give her talaaq. Allah forgI've us both we are pleading for that forgiveness we both agree that we are at fault in the marriage. We still want to be together Please tell us if we still have a chance which are are praying for And also we are seeking this help only for the pleasure of Allah we do not want to live in sin. As Salaamualaikum Mufti Please will you assist me. I have been married for 9years now, but my husband left me for 2years since May 2015, but has decided to come back to me now. We were married for a couple of months when we had a huge argument and he issued me with two Thalaak notifications. To tell the truth I did not hear the Thalaak Notifications. My mom had a shock and told my husband to stop talking nonsense. We continued to stay together with me the sole bread winner. In May 2015 I requested that he leave the house cause he was not working and making life really miserable for me. For the last 2years we had no contact with one another until the 27th Night in Ramadaan my husband phoned me to say he wants to reconcile and he is the manager of a Bakery so he will be able to contribute towards our living expenses. Please Mufti do advise me on what is required from an Islamic point of view and what is my responsibility do I need to observe Idaath cause I didn't think I needed to observe Idaath as we continued as normal with our relationship.
