What is Orbit?
Orbit stands for Orbit Communications Company and now it has become Orbit Showtime (OSN). Orbit or Osn operates as a leading company in broadcast and media industry with the distribution network throughout the Middle East, North and South America and North Africa. Orbit offers a large channel lineup which consists of Family and Kids, News, Sports, Music, Entertainment, Movies, Pay Per View, as well as radio. Orbit also offers some Arabic Channels and Spanish channels. The following Arabic channels: Al Safwa, Fann, Al Yawm, Cinema 1, Cinema 2, Mousalsalat and Mousalsalat +4 in the North and South America are offered through myTV (Arabic), a provider of Arabic live channels.
About Orbit Establishment and Changes
Orbit or Orbit Communications Company was founded in 1994 in Manama, Bahrain. The telecommunication company was owned by Mawarid Holding, based in Saudi Arabia. Orbit was the world's first digital TV network. During the year 2009, the company decided to merge with Showtime Arabia, founded in 1996 and it completed this merge in July. Then, it became Orbit Showtime (OSN).

OSN operated under the Panther Media Group Limited, a satellite television broadcaster of programs and channels based in the Middle East and Africa. As the result of 2013, the OSN has over 135 television channels that ranging from news to sporting events and movies to TV channels.
