Alex; I saw your interview with David Muir today. I've known for some time that you've had pancreatic cancer. My sincere best wishes that your doctors can do everything possible to give a long quality of life. You said in the interview that you felt you were a bit of a "wimp". That could not be further from the truth. I believe you to be an amazingly strong man. Hello Alex, I feel for you in having pancreatic cancer, but I can see you are a fighter. I myself had stage IV pancreatic cancer, and had surgery on Nov three, 2000. They took out 40% of my pancreas, my entire spleen, a slice of my kidney, and five lymph nodes. People ask me how I did it? I tell them it was my persistence, and determination. Also all the cards, letters, and prayers from so many people, family and friends. Some from people I didn't even know. I also would be foolish not to think there was some Devine intervention. I went thru chemo 24/7 every day for five weeks non stop, and five days of radiation during the same five weeks. I had many long term side effects, but I beat it Well here I am 19 years later and the cancer came back in the form of stomach cancer. Again I had surgery. They took out 25% of my stomach, and part of my small colon, and rerouted the colon back into my stomach. I am doing okay, and I know I am going to beat it again. Hang in there Alex. I think that you might consider avoiding any more immunotherapy--did you consult with the doctors at the University of Washington and Fred Hutch? I do not think it possible to develop an immunity to cancer.

Aloha Alex: wanted you to know there are alternative treatments for cancer that are successful.
