AUM or Auburn University at Montgomery is a public university. The university is a campus of Auburn University (also called AU). It was opened in September 1969 with just six hundred students. The university offers a wide range of Bachelor and Master degree courses through five schools. AUM offers courses in the fields of business, sciences, nursing and liberal arts. It is a coeducational university with more than 5,500 students including approximately 750 postgraduate students. Addition to these, the university enrolls more than 10,000 students in continuing education courses. AUM is equipped with various facilities including well equipped classrooms, library, residential apartments for the students, sports and gaming facilities. The total area covered by the university is about 500 acres. The university is also known as Warhawks. AUM was renamed to Auburn University at Montgomery in January 2007.
