What is Cis?
The Center for Internet Security, Inc., abbreviated as CIS is a premier non-profitable organization which was set up in October, 2000. Its main motto is to boost the world-wide cyber security posture by providing trusted environment for bridging the public and private sectors. It was founded by William F. Pelgrin with its headquarters centralized in East Greenbush, New York. It consists of nearly 180 member from 17countries which is responsible for national as well as international security policies and decisions.
The CIS operates in 4 segments in order to improve the security efficiency and effectiveness which are listed as Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISA), Security Benchmarks, Central Intelligence Center and Trusted Purchasing Alliance.
