What is City of Surrey Building Inspection?
The Building Inspection Request of the city of Surrey is managed by the Planning and Development Department. The building division of the department administers the electrical, plumbing, tree permits and inspection services through the governed set of policies and the laws approved by the Council. The Division goes through the building plan reviews that are needed to construct the public and the building industry. The construction and building plan must meet the intended services and requirements of Zoning and Building By-laws, Development Permits, British Columbia Building Code and Land Use Contracts. The Building Division of Planning and Development Department provides advice on business related administrative matters the public, City Departments, Board of Variance and the City Council. The information, status, inspection results and notifications regarding the building inspection request is also sent through text, SMS and mail services to the Blackberry and i-Phone mobile phones and can also be checked on the web. The business inspection requests of the city of Surrey are received before 3:pm and one day prior to the date of inspection.
