What is Cra Hamilton?

CRA stands of 'Canada Revenue Agency', sometimes refereed to as Revenue Canada or Customs Revenue Agency. IT Works under the Federal Identity Program, came into existence in December 2003. The major motive of the agency is to collect taxes which is used for public work and safety. The money collected from these taxes is used to the development and financial uplift of the country. The company generally collects taxes, regulates tax laws in provinces and territories. The agency has set up many offices in numerous provinces and Hamilton office is one of them, administering tax laws for the government of Canada. CRA has employed 40,000 employees working at its various offices. The whole works related to budget, planning, training, reporting are done in its headquarters. Earlier, the agency was used to be known as Department of Inland Revenue comes under the Treasury Board of Canada. Moving toward the taxes, the agency collects various types of taxes including income tax, excise tax, payroll tax and such others taxes which are mentioned in Excise Tax Act. On the other hand, provincial taxes, sales tax, gas taxes and municipal taxes does not include in excise taxes. The major source agency's income are goods and Service Tax and harmonized sales tax. Canada Revenue Agency is also engaged in various social programs which are run for the Benefits of local public, among them few are Canada Child Tax Benefit, Universal Child Care Benefit; both these benefit programs are taxable income for taxpayers.
