I am Filing a grievance and I hope someone will listen and do something about me being unjustly Discharged. I Donna M Ulmer went to work for food Lion/Delhaize America/ADUSA on 3/23/1997 and was Discharged on 10/28/19 due to Personal Behavior / Gross Misconduct unbefitting an Associate. I was Discharged by Joe Mauney and Jenny Troutman. I worked in the DC30 Truck shop as an Maintenance Coordinator and was in that position for 15 yrs. I was Discharged because I sent an email about the Invoices were not getting paid. I was researching and resubmitting the Invoices repeatedly. Everyday I was trying to get them paid to keep us from being put on hold. We had Venders that were calling daily asking if or when the Invoices were going to be paid. Our Expense Payables was not paying them and I was dealing with the fallout. I discussed this with Joe Mauney (Transportation Manager), Richard Carson (Warehouse Manager) and Alfred Richardson (HR) and nothing was done. I was so Frustrated/Stressed. My Supervisor Roger Reed was trying to help me. We were so overwhelmed. We were having trouble getting the Tractors and Trailers repaired because of this. I had sent several emails to explain this and had Roger Reed to proof read some of them before sending them. He was on vacation when I sent the last one, and that is the one that they Discharged me for. I only said the truth, and the saying "The Truth Set me Free" it did, but I did not want this. I had planned to retire with this company. I was so proud to be part of a great place to work. I lost everything. My Job, Insurance, 401K and my dignity. After 15 yrs. In one office I had to get all my belonging out in 1/2 hour in front of my coworkers. I was so hurt and embarrassed. I am 58yrs. And I now am going to have to start over. I did everything that was asked of me and more. I traveled to other DC's and Trained Supervisors, Coordinated Company Picnics, Rodeo's and Company Dinners for Drivers and the Warehouse.
