FedEx dates back to 1913, when its was formed as Fedex Trade Networks and Brokerage based in Niagara Falls, New York. After setting up various businesses in the form of FedEx Custom Critical, FedEX Custom Critical and FexEx Office, it was finally incorporated as Federal Express Corporation in Little Rock, Arkansas. The company shifted its base in Memphis International Airport in 1973 and started its overnight services. The newly formed company was relied on the 389 employees and 14 Dassault Falcon jets. It added Boeing 727 aircrafts in its fleet in 1978 and went public next year. Federal Express started its international operation in 1981 by delivering to Canada. It services were available in Asia Pacific region having acquired the Gelco Express in 1984. Federal Express introduced computerized shipping system in the same year.
