The IWK Health Centre is a hospital specialized in pediatric & maternity units located south end of Halifax, Nova Scotia founded in 1909. The centre provides high quality care to women, children, and youth from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island. IWK Hospital focus research on the health of children and women. The teaching hospital is attached with Dalhousie University and the Vision is “Healthy families. The best care”. IWK hospital is coming up with the new project of inpatient mental health unit that is scheduled to start functioning from 2014.
