What is Kamloops Airport?

The Kamloops Airport is located 9 Km west northwest of Kamloops, British Columbia, a city of the Thompson region of Canada. The Kamloops Airport is also known as Fulton Field. The airport can served 263290 passengers. The construction of the airport was started in 1931 on 46 acres land. That land was taken on leas from fruit-growing company Bc Fruitland. On August 5, 1939 the airport was publicly opened . Later on the airport acquired another 30 acres land for airport use. In the starting the area of airport was 2780 by 49 ft and 8000 by 148 ft. The Fuel for the airports aircrafts obtain from the Shell Canada, which is located on airport.
The Kamloops Airport began in June 1931. In the starting the Kamloops Airport was owned by RCAF but later on the ownership was transferred to the Kamloops itself. When the ownership was transferred then the name changes from Fulton Field or Fulton Airport to the Kamloops Airport.
The airport scheduled flights to 9 destinations of Canada. The food and snacks are available on the airport and have also a restaurant and Bread Garden on the airport. The airport also provides the medical facility on the terminal of the airport which is 1500 square meters. The airport has a number of employees and maintenance workers who are available for all the time on the airport. The employees and workers are supervised by two managers Fred Lagace and Ed Ratuski.
