Kuwait Stock Exchange was first introduced in 1952 by the Investors of Kuwait. They were started it to trading in stock with the Bank of Kuwait. Kuwait stock Exchange was manage all the trading activities, on 28th February all the responsibilities of the Kuwait Stock Exchange were transferred to the Capital Market Authority. These responsibilities were transferred after signed by Amir by passing a new law. On November 1995 Kuwait Stock Exchange implemented its first electronic trading system. Forwards were introduced by Kuwait Stock Exchange in October 1998. Kuwait Stock Exchange introduced Futures in August 2003. Online trading was started by Kuwait Stock Exchange in November 2003 and options were traded on Kuwait Stock Exchange in March 2005. Kuwait Stock Exchange is the largest market of Arab. Kuwait Stock Exchange is working with more than two hundred companies with totalling over USD 100 billion in market value. In 2009 Kuwait Stock Exchange signed a partnership with “NASDAQ OMX” under which it implements the “X-Stream” trading system and the “SMARTS” surveillance system. The SMARTS surveillance system was implemented by Kuwait Stock Exchange in May 2010 and X-Stream system was implemented in May 2012.
