Brief History
The London Luton Airport was commenced operations on 16th of July 1938 and was founded by Secretary of State for Air, Kingsley Wood as Luton Municipal Airport. In World War II it was used as an air-base for Royal Air Force fighters. In January 1990, the name of London Airport was changed to London Luton Airport.

The Airport directly and indirectly employs more than 8000 staff. All the incoming and outgoing flights use single runway that is 2,160 KM long and has an elevation of 160 Meters.
