What is Malmo Mosque?
Malmo mosque opened in 20 April, 1984 is the second oldest mosque located in Jägersro villastad in Sweden. The mosque and the adjacent Charter school is administered by the Islamic center organization. The charter school inaugurated in 2000 was known as Ögårdsskolan and the school follows Islamic curriculum. The school welcomes students from all communities. Friday prayers at the mosque are attended by Muslims from the Regions of Scania and Copenhagen. Nearly, 1,000 people attend the same. The mosque has faced several attacks in the past and a serious arson attack was in 2003 that damaged the mosque completely.
