What is Matrix Laboratries?

Matrix Laboratories is a pharmaceutical company which was founded in the year 2001 when Nimmagadda Prasad, an industrialist too over the company “Heren Drugs” and renamed it as “Matrix Laboratories”. The company is located in Hyderabad over a campus of 17000 square feet with nine factories. The company grew very fast and became a leading dealer of high quality active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). There were series of unions and procurements responsible for the company’s growth which increased the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) to 70 percent. In 2007, majority of the shares of Matrix were sold to Mylan Laboratories, which is a part of Mylan Inc. a USA based largest leading generic and specialty drug manufacturing company.

Matrix labs was renamed then as Mylan Laboratories Limited in October 2011. The company Aims at providing access to all the people with high quality medicines. They have eight API manufacturing facilities certified by World Health organization, U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Japan’s Pharmaceuticals etc. They are the largest high quality API manufacturers in the world. The company aims to focus and research in the area of HIV/AIDS and has become a leading manufacturer of generic antiretroviral (ARV) drugs. They offer first line, second line and paediatric ARV dosage forms. They also provide state of art manufacturing services which gives affordable products to the end users.
