What is Nintendo Contact?
Nintendo Co., Ltd is a Japan based company engaged in producing video Game and consumer electronics. The company has been directed from headquarters based in Kyoto, Japan. It came into existence on 23 September, 1999 and today it is one of the largest video game companies, in the terms of Revenue in Japan. Fusajiro Yamauchi was the brain behind the foundation of this company. In the beginning, the company produced hanafuda playing cards. Before getting into the business of consumer electronics, the company has been engaged in the businesses like love hotels, cab services etc. In 1970, Nintendo began producing video game and has been added among the prominent game companies in the Japan. The name Nintendo has been taken from Japan which means 'Leave Luck to heaven' in English.
Coming to product line, Nintendo produced first 8 bit video game console in North America in 1985, later on, it got released in Europe. In Japan, the game console was released with name 'family computer'. With the passage of time, the company released other video game console, called Super Nintendo Entertainment System, a 16 bit video game console which was released in North America in 1991 and in Europe in 1992.
In 1996, the Nintendo released a multi player video game console having analog stick controller. It was given name, Nintendo 64, it can be played by four players. In 2002, the company came with other gaming console known as Game cube which was sixth generation console and was launched to compete with PlayStation 2, Microsoft's Xbox and Sega's Dreamcast. It came with many connectivity options. It was the first console of its type which could support online gaming through broadband and modem adapter.
Apart from this, the company also introduced handheld consoles, some of them are Game Boy, Nintendo Ds etc. The company has expanded its businesses in other countries through its divisions, some of its international divisions are Nintendo Co. Ltd., Nintendo of America, Nintendo of Europe, Nintendo Australia etc.
