Singapore airlines training centre is a nerve centre of Airline’s training programmes, established in1993 in Singapore. Staff training and development is the vital element of Singapore Airlines’ and part of an un-ending pursuit to obtain the biggest standards of performance. The SFC (Singapore Flying College), a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines training centre provides the basic or ab-initio and advanced flying training for Singapore airlines, SilkAir cadet pilots and Singapore Airlines Cargo. SFC used Cessna 152 aircraft of Seletar Airport. Cadet aviators go through coaching at the college in Singapore and at its branches at Jandakot, European Sydney, Maroochydore and Queensland. Intial basic training and ground theory training of airlines is conducted at Seletar Airport in Singapore but intermediate and final training of fifteen months carried out at Jandakot. Three quarters of airlines training is conducted in Australia. After basic training, cadets moved to Maroochydore (Sunshine Coast Airport) for advanced airlines training. Technical instructions on airlines system are also provided by the team of experienced instructor of Singapore airlines training centre. After completed AFT training, cadet will joined for three months training either Boeing 747and Airbus 340-500. With the completion of training, license with rating by CAAS is endorsed to cadet. singapore airlines training centre also provide safety training, which includes: first aid, CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation) and training of fire fighting. The safety training provided by Singapore airlines training centre is dictated by CAAS (local aviation authority).
