What is Small Animal Clinic Guelph?
Small Animal Clinic (Companion Animal Hospital), Guelph is a part of Ontario Veterinary College’s Health Science Center. It is a one stop center for, where animals are referred by veterinarians across the region for special diagnostic procedures or treatments not readily available in general practice.
Operational Areas
It is the part of University of Guelph and it continuously strives to give the best possible services to more than 16,000 companion animals, equine, farm animal and exotic species annually. At the center animals are treated with care. It has been over 150 years since the center is offering services using a team based approach. It offers the highest quality veterinary care and is accredited with The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The Ontario Veterinary College is the oldest veterinary school in Canada. Located in the University of Guelph campus, it is amongst the five veterinary schools which provide Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program in the country. It also offers DVSc, Ph D, MSc, MPH, and Diploma programs at the graduate level.
The centre with its team of experts offers various clinical services, which include Anaesthesiology, Avian and Exotic Medicine Services, Blood Donor Program, Cardiology, Clinical Counselling and Nutrition, Companion Animal Internal Medicine and Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Fitness and Rehabilitation, Neurology, Oncology, etc. The pets at the center benefit from the expertise of an internist and may also be evaluated by a surgeon, radiologist, anaesthesiologist, pharmacist and critical care specialist in addition the care provided from the residents, interns, student veterinarians and technicians.
