What is Vidal Sassoon Contact?

Vidal Sassoon was British hairdresser, businessman, and philanthropist. He was born on 17th January 1928 and died on 9th May 2012. His work was appreciated by all because of its unique geometric hair style called the wedge bob.

Sassoon was born in Hammersmith, London and brought up by his parents, lived in Shepherd's Bush. His parents were from Sephardic Jews background. Mother name was Betty (Bellin) came from immigrant family of Spain and father, Jack Sassoon belongs to Thessaloniki, Greece. Vidal Sassoon also had a younger brother, Iovr, who died because of major heart attack.

Due to poverty, his mother kept Sassoon and Iovr in a Jewish orphanage for seven awful years and remain there till he was 11. Mother remarried, allowed to meet them only once in a month and not authorized to take them out. His schooling was done in a Primary Christian school which he left at the Age of 14.

Vidal Sassoon took its first step for his career by working under Raymond Bessone as a trainee in his salon in Mayfair. He opened his first store in London in 1954 and claimed that his friend, neighbor and singer-actress Georgia Brown to be his first customer.

The company Vidal Sassoon was introduced to the world in 1973. The Helen of Troy Corporation named as El Paso, Texas based began manufacturing and marketing Sassoon hair-care products in 1980. According to 1982 sales of hair products, had topped $110 million of revenue. The chain was sold to Regis Corporation in 2002 and in 2004 Sassoon was longer part of the brand that bears his name.
