What is Meralco Contact?

The Meralco (Metro Regional Anggat Lightning Cooperative) is a public power distributer which commenced its operations on 17th January 1895 at Pasig City, Philippines. They are recognized as the largest distributor of the electrical power which has marked its presence in several regions. It is also known as Manila Electric Company. In late 1925, the firm got the acquisition of the utility holding company associated gas and electric (AGECO) in order to start the enormous expansion to the world as well as the Dominion of Canada. Due to the involvement of AGEGO’s financial support, the firm was able to expand its business to Philippines and Beyond the Manila. In 1930, the Meralco has invented first hydroelectric power plant of Philippines and that time, the plant was recognized as one of the biggest engineering projects throughout the Asia. Moreover, it also becomes the leading single private capital investment of the Philippines.
